What to tell you about Sam Amidon?
It is very apparent that he’s the kind of person that lives and breathes music. I wouldn’t be surprised if he was born holding a fiddle.
He’s from New England, but he recorded a couple of albums in Iceland and his fiddles sound sort of Irish. You should just listen for yourself. Go see him live if you can.
I photographed Sam twice. First with my ‘professional’ camera, for Indiestyle, the second time from the audience with a tiny compact camera that I can fully adjust manually. I didn’t plan on taking any pictures the second time, but -oh well- I couldn’t help myself.
